Apple Wine with Ginger & Cinnamon

I'm so glad I found this because the recipe below is one that I'll definitely be making on a regular basis in the coming months. It's sweet, spiced, warming, and filled with seasonal goodness. Plus it's very easy to make!

Makes 8 Servings

1 bottle White Wine, ideally sweet and crisp
1 Liter Apple Juice
2" Ginger, sliced
1 Cinnamon stick
4 shots of Whiskey
8 tsp Honey

1. Pour the wine and apple juice into a sauce pan and add the ginger and cinnamon. Cover and heat on low for thirty minutes. You want the spices to infuse into the liquid don't want it to boil or even simmer. High temperatures and simmering will reduce the alcohol content.

2. Remove the spices and pour the spiced wine into eight mugs. Into each mug also add 1/2 shot of whiskey and a teaspoon of honey. Garnish with a stick of cinnamon if you'd like and serve immediately. Enjoy ~
